Grey Knights in the Dark Imperium

I’ve finally decided to build Grey Knights with my serious effort to play Warhammer 40,000 8th Edition.

I have been flipflopping between various paths with how I will tackle the latest edition of Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000. I have Space Wolves, I’d like to go White Scars, I’d like to build my own DIY chapter – I’ve been through all that. And in the end, the most serious efforts for it went to taking Grey Knights.

At Makati Marauders, the Makati Toy Soldier crew primarily play a lot of Warmachine/Hordes, but on Saturdays, we share the table space with a lot of 40K players. Among the crew, it looks like I only have Gino Cobarrubias (PhearTheHam) and his Blood Ravens to play 40K against, but it’s fine. He says he wants to build some Eldar, but that will have to wait.

I already have some Strike Squad and Terminator models from before, and I recently just purchased Grand Master Voldus from Ron Del Rosario. I know I have a basic Dreadnought model and bought the twin autocannons for it since I planned to go GK back in the day, and during that day, twin autocannons with psybolt were lit. My good buddy, Manu Rabaglia, also got me a Nemesis Dreadknight during his trip abroad.

After some discussion earlier, we decided to play at 1,000 points for my debut Grey Knights game.

  • Grand Master Voldus (190 points)
  • Terminator Squad (248 points) Justicar is armed with a Nemesis force halberd and storm bolter. Three Terminators are armed with Nemesis force halberds and storm bolters. One Terminator is armed with a Nemesis force sword and a psycannon.
  • Apothecary (90 points) The Apothecary is armed with a Nemesis warding stave.
  • Strike Squad (130 points) Justicar is armed with a Nemesis Daemon hammer. Three Grey Knights are armed with Nemesis force halberds and storm bolters. One Grey Knight is armed with a Nemesis force halberd and a psycannon.

  • Nemesis Dreadknight (210 points) The Nemesis Dreadknight is armed with a Nemesis greatsword and gatling psilencer on his right arm and a heavy incinerator on his left arm. He is also equipped with a Dreadknight teleporter.

The decision on my current load out on this list is based on what I have watched on Youtube regarding 8th edition Grey Knights. I’m looking forward to document/vlog my adventure back into the game that brought me to the community.

Thanks for reading! For any comments of questions, post them in the comments box at the end of the article. Good luck, have fun and always bring your ace game!
