Marauders Worlds War Weekend
It was a big weekend for all of the gaming crews that showed up last Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Makati Marauders! All the tables were packed, as pretend war, build sessions, demo sessions and board gaming raged from wall to wall at the club! And players, good friends old and new, almost never ceased to come through the doors! Good times!
Kent Celino and Mark Octavio warmed up by building some Warhammer 40,000 Maulerfiends and Forge World Wraithknights (special shout out for bringing a box of goodies they shared with everyone there).
Since it’s the week when Privateer Press dropped the CID for Steamroller 2017, Aerol Bibat, Kim Navarro, Gino Cobarrubias, Fred Escalona and JR Roxas started the noise, boosted their attack rolls and raced for control points early as soon as the door opened. Later on, Manu Rabaglia droppy by; and Hobby Haven Horsemen Jon Lansang and Taks Arguelles arrived and also threw down on some WMH action!
Not long after, Luis Bonus, Keith Quirong, Daspien Sario and Jojo Francisco rolled out legit desert scheme gaming mats and slammed Axis against Allies for a couple of games of Dust 1947!
More dice and more mats hit the table as Jas Tolentino and Glenn Gonzalvo played not only Age Of Sigmar, but Heroclix as well! (We’ll have to reschedule our Guild Ball match again, bro!) Aerol got to do a GF9 Tanks demo to the crew, too!
So I stepped out for a bit, and when I came back, there was a full-on 2v2 40K battle going on at the center table, and another 40K game going on at the entrance table! Magnus the Red, Wraithknights and Riptides towered over the entire battlefield! Alongside many of the 40K youngbloods there were Cyrus Bangcaya, Tony Munoz and even Sunny Yu took time to drop by for a visit!
And as the day drew to a close, we capped the whole gig off with a Morticians vs Alchemists Guild Ball match!
